A Telluride Tradition since 1972
When Bill Hedger opened Olympic Sports on Main Street in 1972, no one had any idea that this small town made up of miners and a few ski bums would become the world class destination resort that it is today. As the ski area grew throughout the 1970’s and early 80’s, new owners Mike and Jane Conlin and Sam Siegel expanded the company to meet the growing demands of the area’s newest passion, skiing.
Over the years the town has seen the addition and construction of a gondola, a mountain village, numerous world class hotels, and countless expansions of the ski area. However, one thing that has remained constant through all of this is the presence of Telluride Sports. Through different owners and different names the company has been providing the best customer service to locals and visitors alike for more than 35 years. Go ahead; ask a local, there is a good chance that they or one of their good friends worked at Telluride Sports at some point in their journey through this town.
